Del dolor a la claridad: 1nter presenta ‘Espejismo’

[ES] En Espejismo, 1nter no busca maquillar el dolor ni darle vueltas infinitas: pone en palabras ese instante en el que uno se da cuenta de que el peso de lo que arrastra no va a irse solo, y que toca romper con ello. “Y pasan los años echando paja a un abismo… romperé el espejismo” dice la letra, con la crudeza de quien se enfrenta al espejo.

[EN] In Espejismo, 1nter doesn’t try to dress up the pain or circle it endlessly. Instead, the band puts into words that exact moment when you realize the weight you’ve been carrying won’t just disappear; you have to break it yourself. “Y pasan los años echando paja a un abismo… romperé el espejismo” goes the lyric, with the rawness of someone staring straight into the mirror.

[ES] La banda mezcla lo acústico del folk con guitarras que raspan como en el indie rock, y a ratos deja entrar un aire del regional mexicano. Una fusión rara y honesta, que no busca sonar “alternativa”, sino capturar un estado de ánimo.

[EN] The sound blends the acoustic warmth of folk with indie-rock guitars that scratch at the edges, and at times, a breeze of regional Mexican music slips in. It’s a rare, honest fusion, not trying to be “alternative,” but simply capturing a state of mind.

[ES] Lo que vuelve interesante a 1nter es que detrás hay algo más que música: la intención de acompañar procesos internos, de ponerle melodía a esas batallas silenciosas que todos cargamos. No sorprende que su creador también esté metido en el terreno de la psicoterapia: las canciones suenan como diálogos abiertos con uno mismo.

[EN] What makes 1nter interesting is that there’s more behind it than music alone: an intention to accompany inner processes, to give melody to those silent battles we all carry within us. It’s no coincidence that the band’s creator is also immersed in psychotherapy; the songs feel like open conversations with oneself.

Acerca de 1nter / About 1nter

[ES] 1nter nació en Guadalajara como un gesto íntimo de Mario Arreola: un proyecto que desde 2016, primero bajo el nombre de Gorlami, ha ido mutando hasta convertirse en un espacio sonoro donde lo folk se cruza con el indie y con ecos del regional mexicano. Más que un proyecto musical, es un refugio en forma de canción: piezas escritas en la piel, hechas para acompañar silencios, desatar nudos y recordar que sanar también puede ser un acto colectivo. Su nombre, tomado de “interior”, habla de ese lugar donde lo vivido se transforma en melodía, y de lo “intermedio”, lo que une y conecta.

[EN] 1nter was born in Guadalajara as an intimate gesture from Mario Arreola: a project that, since 2016, first under the name Gorlami, has evolved into a sonic space where folk meets indie and echoes of regional Mexican music are present. More than a musical project, it feels like a refuge in the shape of a song: pieces written on the skin, meant to accompany silences, untangle knots, and remind us that healing can also be a collective act. Its name, taken from “interior,” points to the place where lived experiences turn into melody, and to what lies “in between,” the thread that binds and connects.
