[EN] Julien Ndiaye, also known as Jultrane, is a Franco-Senegalese saxophonist who turns jazz into an inner journey. On his debut album, Jultrane Plays John, released on May 9, 2025, he pays homage to John Coltrane, his musical compass, while tracing his own path: a dialogue between heritage, exploration, and freedom.

[EN] Julien Ndiaye was born in France and has Senegalese roots. More than a disciple of Coltrane, he is an artist who has learned to listen to silence and turn it into melody. Trained at the Conservatoire of Cannes, he has performed across Europe while maintaining an intense dialogue with his African heritage. With his Sextet Duplex, where modal jazz, hard bop, and free improvisation intertwine, he builds a sound that feels both grounded and luminous, rooted in the earth yet always reaching for the sky.
[ES] Julien Ndiaye nació en Francia, de raíces senegalesas. Más que un heredero de Coltrane, es un artista que ha aprendido a escuchar el silencio y convertirlo en melodía. Formado en el Conservatorio de Cannes, ha compartido escenario con músicos del circuito europeo y mantiene un diálogo constante con su herencia africana.
