Esta canción encuentra su raíz y sentido en un hecho real y desgarrador: el brutal asesinato de Sara Millerey, una mujer trans que fue atacada ante los ojos de sus agresores y de quienes, en lugar de ayudarla, grababan su agonía. En un riachuelo, con sus extremidades fracturadas, intentó salvar su vida. Fue un acto de odio y deshumanización que no puede repetirse. Detrás de esta canción también resuena una realidad urgente que no debemos ignorar. No podemos permitirlo. Y no podemos callarlo.
Some songs are born from the intimate. Others shared grief. Luna is both. This song finds its root and meaning in an honest and devastating event: the brutal murder of Sara Millerey, a trans woman who was attacked in plain sight by her aggressors and by bystanders who chose to film instead of help. In a shallow stream, her limbs broken, she tried to save her life. It was an act of hatred and dehumanization that should never be repeated. Behind this song, there is also an echo of urgent realities that continue to affect us. We must not allow it. And we must not stay silent.
