[ES] El Desierto Detrás de la Ventana abre la puerta a su álbum debut con dos sencillos: “Mazapán” y “Viaje Familiar”. Dos miradas distintas hacia la vulnerabilidad y hacia esas tensiones pequeñas que pueden unir o desgastar una relación. La banda, formada entre CDMX y el Estado de México, trabaja con una configuración amplia: tres guitarras, dos sintetizadores y un conjunto de voces que construyen un sonido claro, directo y lleno de capas.
[EN] El Desierto Detrás de la Ventana opens the path to their debut album with two singles, “Mazapán” and “Viaje Familiar”. Two different ways of looking at vulnerability and at the small tensions that can hold a relationship together or slowly wear it down. The band, formed between CDMX and the State of Mexico, works with a wide setup: three guitars, two synthesizers, and a group of voices that shape a transparent, layered sound.
[ES] “Viaje Familiar” baja el paso y se queda en un terreno íntimo. La canción habla de un vínculo que se sostiene en gestos simples: conversaciones sueltas, planes que cambian, días que pesan y otros que ordenan un poco las cosas. No intenta dar respuestas, solo describe cómo se siente avanzar cuando el ritmo de cada quien no siempre coincide.
[EN] “Viaje Familiar” slows down and stays in an intimate space. The song looks at a bond built through simple gestures: loose conversations, plans that shift, days that feel heavy and others that bring some order back. It doesn’t try to offer answers. It shows what it feels like to move forward when each person’s rhythm doesn’t always align.
[ES] “Mazapán” mira hacia adentro. Toma la imagen del dulce para hablar de la fragilidad propia, de ese momento en el que uno comparte algo delicado sin saber si será recibido con cuidado. La banda mantiene esa idea con un arreglo que sostiene la emoción sin recargarla. Todo está acomodado para que lo frágil sea lo primero que se escucha.
[EN] “Mazapán” turns inward. It takes the image of the candy to speak to emotional fragility, to sharing something delicate without knowing whether it will be handled with care. The band stays close to that idea with an arrangement that holds the emotion without weighing it down. Everything is placed so that the fragile part comes through first.

[ES] El Desierto Detrás de la Ventana se formó en 2020 entre CDMX y el Estado de México. Su sonido mezcla influencias del post punk ochentero, el grunge y el pop, siempre desde una mirada directa y sensible. Sus canciones parten de situaciones comunes y crecen con una experimentación que ha ido tomando forma dentro de la escena independiente. Ocho integrantes sobre el escenario, múltiples capas instrumentales y una intención clara: encontrar un punto donde emoción y claridad convivan sin exceso.
[EN] El Desierto Detrás de la Ventana was formed in 2020 between CDMX and the State of Mexico. Their sound blends elements of 80s post-punk, grunge, and pop, always from a direct, grounded perspective. Their songs start from everyday situations and grow through experimentation that has taken shape in the independent scene. Eight members on stage, multiple instrumental layers and a clear intention: to find a place where emotion and clarity meet without excess.
