A Su Ladera – “Si Pudiera Estar (demo)”: You Never Return The Same
A grey drive. Foggy windows, taillights fading in the distance, a road that seems endless. Uncertainty creeps in without warning. Nothing happens, and somehow that feels the heaviest.
Most of us have felt this way, whether on roads in our own towns or far from home. A su ladera captures it from Costa Rica: the chill, the routine, the sense of showing up after something important has already passed. That feeling turned into a song.
Si pudiera estar (demo) blends shoegaze and dream pop, bringing melancholy, atmosphere, and textures that invite you to look inward. The lyrics, written in Spanish by Amanda Murillo, guide the way.
Find Out More About A Su Ladera

“Me fui muy lejos / de donde era / por el frío y la prisa me enfermé.” Later, she sings: “Mi gata, Brezón y los amigos / pronto se olvidaron entre sí.” Anyone who has ever left a place knows that feeling. But Amanda looks even deeper: “pero me dio miedo / no volver / prefiero moverme / así sea yo.” Everything keeps moving. The real question is whether you move with it or just watch as everything else passes by.
After releasing Elipsis (2022) and No había forma de saber (2024), with the second EP nominated for Best Alternative Rock Album at the 2025 ACAM Awards, the band is now working on their first studio album. This demo is just the first stop along the way. See you on the road.
