Kati$ha, “Otra Vez”: Saying No With Your Mouth Full Of Yes.
You already know how it ends. You knew it the first time, when you said no and ended up saying yes before the second chorus hit. And still, there you are again, promising what you already broke before, convinced this time it weighs different even though it’s the same as last time. “Lo sentí cuando dije lo siento” (I felt it when I said I’m sorry), Kati$ha sings, and that one line takes down any attempt to get out of this clean: even the apology comes with a little lie built in.
Kati$ha is Colombian, based in Mexico, and “Otra Vez” is her second single of the year, after PAILA, released in January. The turn toward Latin Electro Pop with a eurodance edge doesn’t change what’s underneath: it’s the same insistence as always, now with a beat that climbs and doesn’t come back down until the song ends.

Produced by Banac, co-written with PPMARI, distributed by Symphonic. Out since July 10.
Five months after PAILA. The track already had a live showcase in Bogotá before it even dropped, with more dates coming across the US, Mexico, and Colombia in the weeks ahead.
Next time it comes on, check if you’re still saying no.
